Another year on, and we still feel the absence of Jonny Ruffle, friend and supporter of the band. The second annual Cartwheels and Sunflowers takes place on 22 August in Bloxham.

Leatherat returns to Cropredy in 2026. Cream of the Crop. Saturday 15 August.

In memory of our friend Jonny Ruffle, friends and family are hosting Cartwheels and Sunflowers, a joyful family event with a silent auction for a ukulele signed by Fairport Convention and Leatherat. Funds raised will support Let’s Play Project and Live PAWS, two charities Jonny championed with passion.

We had a blast playing at this year’s Brasenose Fringe! It’s always a joy to play in one of our favourite places, so close to where Leatherat took its first steps all those years ago.

At last it’s spring and the weather forecast is looking fabulous for Leatherat’s first festival outing of the year, Ey Up Mi Duck near Doncaster this weekend. More festivals through the summer to come!
