Announcement: Cropredy Fringe 2026
Leatherat have had the pleasure and privilege of playing the Cropredy Fringe for 20 years and all but 2 of them at the Brasenose, which we have come to think of as our home.
We do not wish to kick anyone when they are down, these are dark days for the hospitality and entertainment industry but this also applies to all those that work within it and we had hoped that a satisfactory resolution could have been made by now.
So it is therefore with deep regret that we announce that, whilst we have not been affected personally, we will stand in solidarity with the bar and event staff and all those that have not been paid for their work last year and withdraw from the current Brasenose Fringe line up for 2026.
Update (April 2026): Come and join in with Leatherat’s traditional Cropredy revelry at Cream of the Crop (formerly field 8) on Saturday 15th August. Show time to be confirmed — watch out for updates!

Well. Goodness gracious me! I absolutely applaud your decision to “walk out” of the Brazenose thing. Much as we would love to see you, you can’t be complicit in a shit lstorm. You have our absolute support. XXX
