One weekend, two festival outings! Festival favourites Leatherat bring their riotous folk fun to two festivals in the south in August.
First up is Kent’s A New Day Festival on Friday 18th August, along with our Banbury friends Bushfield Smith. Come and see Leatherat and you’ll also get to see Pentangle, Geordie, Rosalie Cunningham, any many more. The weekend festival takes place at Mount Ephraim Gardens, near Hernhill in Kent.
Next day, Saturday 19th August, is Leatherat’s regular jaunt to Weyfest, a premium boutique-style festival held in Tilford, Surrey in August since 2007. Weyfest this year also hosts the likes of Boomtown Rats, Scouting for Girls, Ocean Colour Scene and Jools Holland.
Tickets for both of these wonderful summer festivals are on sale now.
So Banbury’s rowdy folk-rock outfit that split up just a few years ago continues to go forth with their new lineup for this – and more – gigs in 2023. Earlier in the year, there’s the regular outing in Guildford with True Deceivers (sold out). Then April sees a canal-side blast at The Pig Place at Adderbury near Banbury (with 3 Daft Monkeys). After regular appearances at Nuneaton’s Ragged Bear Festival, Leatherat is back at the Queen’s Hall in May (with Ferocious Dog).
Plenty of new dates are in Leatherat’s diary for the rest of 2023, but we can’t tell you about them just yet. Keep an eye on our website’s live page, our Facebook and Instagram pages. We will announce more shows soon. Suffice to say we will there will be plenty more hi-octane folk-rock, unapologetically delivered with fiery passion this year!
At which venues and festivals would you like to see Leatherat? Let us know in the comments, and let’s see what we can do to make it happen!
