Coming soon is Leatherat’s only Welsh gig of 2023 — at Cardiff’s Clwb Ifor Bach, Friday 13 October. We are joined by our wonderful friends 3 Daft Monkeys and Warren Ireland for a night of raucous rocking folk.
We love playing proper music venues, and Clwb Ifor Bach (Little Ivor’s Club) is just such a place. As a registered charity in the heart of Cardiff, its support of live music really is second to none, having helped thousands of aspiring performers, technicians, promoters and photographers since it opened in 1983. Like us, they believe that everyone, of all backgrounds and abilities should be able to access music.
Early bird tickets are still available here.
We are again excited to share a bill with the brilliant 3 Daft Monkeys.
With Celtic and eastern influences, the 3 Daft Monkeys’ dynamic style of world folk music reflects the global village in which we now live. Their infectious dancing rhythms lead you through a musical journey of the senses and emotions, and will leave you breathless, enthralled and exhilarated.
They’ve been busy throughout the summer, touring and partying hard at festivals and venues up and down the UK and beyond, including sets at Glastonbury and Bearded Theory festivals. BBC2’s Mark Radcliffe described them as one of his highlights of Glastonbury and several deserved awards have come their way.
The lineup is completed by talented singer-songwriter Warren Ireland, who also joins us the very next day, Saturday 14 October, as we travel to another excellent live music venue in Yorkshire, Sidney and Matilda in Sheffield, also featuring Darwin’s Rejects. Tickets are selling fast, available here.
Dates are already in Leatherat’s diary for 2024, but we can’t tell you about them just yet. Keep an eye on our website’s live page, our Facebook and Instagram pages. We will announce more shows soon. Suffice to say we will there will be plenty more hi-octane folk-rock, unapologetically delivered with fiery passion!
At which venues and festivals would you like to see Leatherat? Let us know in the comments, and let’s see what we can do to make it happen!
