We can finally confirm that some of the whispers on the various Fairport gossip channels are indeed true — Leatherat will be performing at 2023’s Fairport Convention Cropredy fringe.
And best of all, the experience will cost you nothing! At the Red Lion, it will be free entry to all.
As usual, there will be a healthy live music vibe around the village for the week. Leatherat’s spot will be on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm. The full line-up isn’t yet finalised, but if previous years at the Red are anything to go by, we’re guaranteed to have days packed full of great live music, friendly service and excellent refreshments at sensible prices.
There may even be a chance to get your hands on some of our brand new merchandise. Designs are being finalised right now! But if you can’t wait until then, it will of course appear in our shop as soon as we have it.

So Banbury’s rowdy folk-rock outfit that split up just a few years ago continues to go forth with their new lineup for this — and more — gigs in 2023. The summer sees outings on festival stages, from headlining Folky Dokey in North Wales, to A New Day and Weyfest in the south-east. And great music venues like Nuneaton’s Queen’s Hall, Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff and The Witchwood in the north-west.
More dates are in Leatherat’s diary for the rest of 2023, and we’re booking for 2024, but we can’t tell you about them just yet. Keep an eye on our website’s live page, our Facebook and Instagram pages. We will announce more shows soon. Suffice to say we will there will be plenty more hi-octane folk-rock, unapologetically delivered with fiery passion this year!
